In January–March 2025, the volume of cash USD transactions conducted by banks in Azerbaijan totaled $965.2 million 218 thousand, APA reports, citing Central Bank's report.
This marks a 24.7% or $317.4 million decrease compared to the same period last year.
During the reporting period, banks’ cash USD purchases rose by 6.3% year-on-year to $373.3 million, while sales dropped by 36.4% to $591.9 million.
Meanwhile, cash euro purchases more than doubled to $53 million, and sales increased by 11.5% to $50.1 million compared to the same period last year.
