"The Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB) has approved 23 strategic projects totaling €275 million since the beginning of this year," said Ziya Aliyev, BSTDB Vice President during the plenary session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC) held in Baku, APA-Economics reports.
He stated that the region countries experienced 2.8% economic growth last year. “Although this figure is lower than the average for 2021–2023, it remains above the eurozone average. We intend to continue our efforts in this direction through 2025–2026,” he said.
He also noted that the BSTDB Board of Directors has already approved the aforementioned 23 projects since early 2025: "The allocated financing for these stands at €275 million. Currently, the Bank’s expert team is reviewing approximately 50 projects worth €1.5 billion. Supporting the economic development of our member countries through our assistance remains our main objective,” he added.
