The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has announced its forecast regarding the sale price of Azerbaijani gas in Europe until 2031, APA-Economics reports.
The IMF has projected that the average annual price of Azerbaijani gas will rise from last year’s $389 to $517.4 in 2025. In other words, the forecast is $128.4 or 33% higher than last year’s price. This increase is likely related to fluctuations in the supply-demand balance in the markets or to political and economic factors.
The Fund believes that starting from next year, gas prices will steadily decline. In 2026, the price is expected to fall to $424.7, then to $342.2 in 2027, and in the following years — 2028 - 2030 — it is expected to stabilize at $290.2.
