Within the framework of the 29th General Assembly of the Intra-European Organisation of Tax Administrations (IOTA) held in Baku, the head of the State Tax Service, Orkhan Nazarly, met with Sherzod Kudbiyev, chairman of the State Tax Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, APA-Economics reports, citing the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy.
It was noted that during the meeting, the current state and development prospects of cooperation between the tax administrations of the two countries were discussed. The parties emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation in the application of digital technologies, improving tax administration, and increasing transparency in relations with taxpayers.
The head of the State Tax Service highlighted the positive dynamics of the cooperation forming between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan in the field of taxation. Orkhan Nazarly noted that the reforms carried out in the direction of improving tax administration and digitalization are of mutual interest, and that exchanging experience in this area could be beneficial for both sides.
Sherzod Kudbiyev, chairman of the State Tax Committee of Uzbekistan, expressed appreciation for the tax reforms implemented by Azerbaijan in recent years and emphasized their interest in benefiting from this experience.
The meeting exchanged views on issues of mutual interest.
