Azerbaijan unveils amount allocated to foreign financial institutions

Last year, Azerbaijan spent 4.9 million AZN from the state budget to participate in the share capital of international and regional financial institutions, this was reflected in the annual report on the execution of the state budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2024, which was discussed at today’s meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Economic Policy, Industries and Enterprising, APA reports.

Of this amount, 1.6 million AZN were allocated to the Asian Development Bank, 1.3 million AZN to the Islamic Development Bank, and 2 million AZN to the International Finance Corporation (IFC).

In addition, 16.5 million AZN were spent on membership fees to international and regional organizations. This included 5.4 million AZN for UN-affiliated bodies, programs, and conventions; 1.3 million AZN for the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and its institutions; 1.2 million AZN for the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) organizations; and 8.6 million AZN for other international organizations.
