The Azerbaijani national team added two more medals to its assets.
In the 60 kg weight class, Nizami Imranov started the fight from the 1/8 finals. He advanced to the next round by defeating Italian Francesco Sampino.
Nizami also won over Serbian Marko Jorgic in the 1/4 finals. Nizami's French opponent Zahariye Dijola won in the semi-finals. Imranov lost to Nazar Viskova (Ukraine) in the decisive match and settled for the silver medal.
In the 57 kg weight class, Fidan Alizade defeated Lei Vissa from Liechtenstein in the first match. In the 1/8 finals, she won over the Slovenian Yevgenia Gaic. In the next round, Fidan, who was stronger than the British Chloe Link, advanced to the semi-finals.
Azerbaijani athlete passed the Romanian Vanessa Tolea and advanced to the final.
Azerbaijanu judoka defeated Georgian Nino Loladze and won a gold medal.

Azerbaijan's representative, Konul Aliyeva (52 kg), has become the champion of the European Judo Championship held in the Estonian capital Tallinn, Apasport.az reports.
Konul Aliyeva defeated all her opponents and ascended to the highest step of the podium.
Note that she secured the first gold medal for Azerbaijan in the tournament.
