Azerbaijan’s judoka Hidayat Heydarov advanced to the final of the 2024 World Judo Championships in Abu-Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates, APA reports.
He defeated German Igor Wandtke in the men’s 73 kg weight class.
Heydarov will face the winner of Tatsuki Ishihara (Japan) vs Ankhzaya Lavjargal (Mongolia) encounter.
The tournament will run until May 23.
