Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has criticized the Russian delegation set to attend peace talks in Istanbul, calling the team led by presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky "fake," APA reports.

Zelenskyy made the statement shortly after returning from his official visit to Ankara.

He emphasized the strength of Ukraine’s delegation, saying, “Our team is represented at the highest level — including officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Presidential Office, military personnel, and intelligence officers.”

Zelenskyy added that the purpose of the talks is to achieve decisions that will contribute to a just peace. He also noted that Ukraine’s participation in the negotiations will be decided following his meeting with the Turkish President.
