After seeing the level of the Russian delegation, we realized they are not ready for serious negotiations, said the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, APA reports.
According to Zelensky, the Chief of the General Staff and the head of the Security Service will not take part in the talks with Russia. Ukraine’s Defense Minister, Rustem Umerov, will participate in the negotiations in Istanbul and will lead the Ukrainian delegation.
"A ceasefire will be on the agenda of our delegation, but we are not sure whether the Russian delegation shares the same mood. Among those participating in the talks, we don’t actually see the real decision-makers. I still believe that Russia is not taking these meetings seriously and does not want to stop the war."
