Losses and reducing military potential must force Russia to agree to real diplomacy, said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the "Bucharest Nine" and Scandinavian countries summit, APA reports.

“This is a special moment. On one hand, Russia has launched a summer offensive, on the other hand, it is forced to engage in diplomacy. This is both a challenge and a real opportunity for all of us. This is a chance to try to end this war,” Zelenskyy said.

According to Zelenskyy, Europe and the US together have better weapons than Russia.

“We also have stronger tactical solutions. Our 'Pautina' operation proved this yesterday. Russia must understand what it means to suffer losses. This will push it toward diplomacy,” the Ukrainian leader emphasized.

He noted that Russia’s losses in the war show that Ukraine is defending not only itself but all of Europe.
