“Türkiye supports the territorial integrity of Ukraine,” said Hakjan Fidan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Türkiye as he delivered speech at XI Baku Global Forum, APA reports.

“Türkiye supports and recognizes sovereignty, territorial integrity and independence of Ukraine, which includes Crimea,” Turkish Minister said.

According to him, Türkiye made initiastives for negotiations between sides.

The Minister reminded that this war has negative consequences at the global level too and Türkiye made efforts for elimination of these consequences and he brought to attention the efforts in relation with the Black Sea Grain Deal.

“The war at Ukraine has already entered its 3rd year, there are many casualties on both sides, and the scale of destruction is huge,” the Minister stressed.

The Turkish diplomat said that Türkiye has always called for discussions and dialogue to resolve the conflict: “The call for discussions does not mean Ukraine’s capitulation. This means finding a solution through dialogue that meets Ukraine's legitimate interests. Calling for dialogue, at the same time, does not mean recognizing the occupation."
