“The recent Israeli attacks on Lebanon have justified our concern about the Israeli administration's plans to spread the war to the region,” Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said at a press conference at Atatürk Airport as he was leaving for the United States to attend the 79th session of the UN General Assembly, APA reports.
“The region is facing major crises that cannot be explained. The attacks on Lebanon demonstrated Israel's intention to spread the war to the region. Increasing the pressure on Israel in order to prevent our region from being dragged into worse situations is necessary," Erdogan said.
It should be noted that Erdogan said that he will deliver speech at the UN General Assembly on September 24, the first day of the negotiations.
