“Today, we will hold a trilateral meeting with the U.S. State Department and the Syrian Foreign Ministry,” said Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, APA reports.
The minister stated that joint efforts are needed for Syria to resolve the challenges it faces: “The security and stability of Syria are a priority. Failure to achieve this will lead to problems on a global scale. Joint support is necessary for the country's reconstruction. As Türkiye, we continue to work towards Syria's integration into the international community. We are pleased to see that these efforts are currently yielding results. Yesterday, in Riyadh, the Syrian interim president met with the U.S. President. This was an important step toward lifting sanctions against Syria. Today, we will hold a trilateral meeting with the U.S. and Syrian Foreign Ministries.”
