A court in Switzerland has deprived Telegram founder Pavel Durov of parental rights after the appeal of Irina Bolgar, the mother of his three children, APA reports citing NEXTA.
Irina Bolgar has shared about this in her social networks. According to her, in late 2022, Durov issued an ultimatum "to force" Bolgar to move to the UAE, where Durov himself lives.
After Bolgar refused, Durov stopped providing for her financially, blocked her access to bank accounts from which she was allowed to spend up to 150,000 euros monthly, and stopped paying expenses, including for education, travel, and medicine.
She said she had decided to take legal action. "The Tribunal for the Protection of Children and Adults initiated an investigation by the Geneva guardianship authorities, which resulted in a decision to deprive Durov of parental rights concerning our three children," the woman said.
