Prime Minister of Georgian Irakli Kobakhidze has proposed the dissolution of the "United National Movement" party led by former President Mikheil Saakashvili, Kobakhidze said in an interview with the "Imedi" TV channel, APA reports.
He demanded that Saakashvili's political organization should be treated as a similar case to the National Socialist German Workers' Party led by Adolf Hitler in 1945: "If Hitler's party had remained on the political stage after 1945, it would have gathered only 15-20 percent of the votes in parliament. The Germans managed to rid themselves of that political organization in time. We should also dissolve the 'United National Movement' Party."
Kobakhidze also noted that if Saakashvili were to return to power, Georgia's prospects for European Union membership would be jeopardized.
