France has issued an international warrant for the arrest of President of Syria Bashar al-Assad, who is accused of participating in crimes against humanity for his attacks using chemical weapons in 2013.
Assad is suspected of complicity in war crimes for the August 2013 attacks near Damascus that killed more than 1,400 people, a judicial source told AFP.
