Slovak media reports that said person is the famous Slovak writer Juraj Cintula.
The 71-year-old writer is noted to be one of the supporters of the opposition party Progressive Slovakia.

Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic confirmed that an assassination attempt was carried out on Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico.
Local media reports that there is no threat to the Prime Minister's life.

Media reports say Slovakia’s populist Prime Minister Robert Fico was injured in a shooting and taken to hospital, APA reports citing Associated Press.
The incident took place in the town of Handlova, some 150 kilometers northeast of the capital, according to the news television station TA3. A suspect has been detained, it said.
