European Union foreign ministers will announce the allocation of €1 billion for weapons production in Ukraine, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaya Kallas, said during a press conference following the EU foreign ministers’ meeting in Warsaw, APA reports.
She noted that EU foreign ministers will visit Ukraine tomorrow.
"During the visit to Kyiv on May 9, the EU foreign ministers will announce the allocation of €1 billion for weapons production in Ukraine," she said.
Kallas also added that the European Commission intends to adopt the 17th package of sanctions against Russia by May 20.
