Two people died at the scene and five others were injured when a heat pump exploded in a building in Opole Voivodeship, southwestern Poland on Tuesday, APA reports citing RMF24.
According to local media RMF24, the incident occurred around 3 p.m. on Olimpijczyk Street in Chrzastowice.
The media quoted an officer from the Opole Fire Department as saying that the explosion happened during maintenance work at a single-family building.
Seven fire brigades, along with the police and rescue teams, are currently at the scene. The situation is now under control, and no fire has occurred. Police are still investigating the incident. ■
