In January-July of 2024, the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Russia amounted to 2 billion 572.8 million dollars, which is 5.2 % or USD 127.5 million more compared to the corresponding period of last year, APA-Economics reports citing the State Customs Committee.
During the reporting period, the exports from Azerbaijan to Russia decreased by 7.8% to 656 million 46 thousand dollars, and the exports from Russia to Azerbaijan increased by 10.6% to 1 billion 916.7 million dollars.
During this period, Russia has been the leading country among Azerbaijan's non-oil export destinations. Specifically, from January to July of the current year, Azerbaijan exported non-oil products worth 641 million 87 thousand USD to Russia.
During this period, Azerbaijan exported mainly fruits and vegetables (such as tomatoes, potatoes, apples, hazelnuts, cherries, strawberries, dates, etc.), fruit juices, propylene copolymers in their primary form, and other products to Russia.
Note that between January and July 2024, the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Russia accounted for 9.57% of Azerbaijan's total trade turnover.
Recall that in the first seven months of the current year, Azerbaijan's total trade turnover reached 26 billion 892 million USD, with non-oil exports amounting to 1 billion 874.7 million USD.
