In January-June 2024, industrial enterprises and individual entrepreneurs operating in this field manufactured industrial products worth AZN 31,5 billion, product production in the oil-gas sector increased by 0.3%, and in the non-oil and gas sector by 7.4% compared to the corresponding period of 2023, APA reports citing the State Statistical Committee.
According to the Committee, 65% of industrial products was produced in the mining sector, 29.2% in the manufacturing sector, 4.9% in the production, distribution, and supply of electricity, gas, and steam, and 0.9% in the water supply, waste management, and treatment sector.
In the mining sector, the commercial oil output decreased by 4.9%, while the commercial gas output increased by 5.3%.
In the manufacturing sector, production saw an increases in computer, electronic, and optical products (74.4%), pharmaceutical products (53.5%), motor vehicles, trailers, and semi-trailers (48%), building materials (35.7%), metallurgy products (32.0%), furniture (31.0%), rubber and plastic products (26.7%), electrical equipment (18.5%), tobacco products (18.0%), beverages (14.9%), fabricated metal products (13.9%), clothing (8.1%), chemical industry products (7.8%), food products (4.6%), paper and cardboard (4.5%), leather and leather products, shoes (4.4%), and oil products (1.9%). There were declines in wood processing and wood products (-6.7%), textile products (-13.9%), installation and repair of machinery and equipment (-16.2%), printing products (-20.8%), machinery and equipment production (-27.5%), other transportation equipment production (-48%), and other industrial products (-61.2%).
In the electricity, gas, and steam production, distribution, and supply sector, production volume decreased by 1.9%, while in the water supply, waste management, and treatment sector, it increased by 6.2%.
