Azerbaijani businessman had working meeting with President Ruto in Kenya

Azerbaijani prominent businessman Tahir Gozel visited Nairobi, Kenya on June 4, APA reports.

During the visit, he participated in a number of high-level meetings, including meetings with Kenya's President William Ruto and the Secretary-General of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) organization, Wamkele Mene.

The main highlight of the visit was the working meeting held with President William Ruto on June 7. During the meeting, the parties discussed opportunities for expanding economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Kenya. Tahir Gozel emphasizing the prospects for developing trade relations between the two countries spoke about the contributions Azerbaijan could offer to Kenya.

He stated that “ASAN Service,” the Space Agency under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport ("Azercosmos"), and the company founded by Gozel, “Proxima Tech Solutions,” are ready to introduce new services to Kenya and expand partnership in this direction. Gozel also expressed interest in supporting investment projects aimed at increasing the export potential of products made by small business entities operating in Kenya.

President Ruto expressing gratitude to Gozel emphasized that he attaches great importance to partnership relations with Azerbaijan, noted that his country is open to new cooperation in this direction.
