China is Azerbaijan's fourth-largest trading partner, Deputy Minister of Economy Elnur Aliyev said during the Azerbaijan-China Economic and Trade Cooperation Conference, APA-Economics reports.
He noted that in January-April of this year, the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and China exceeded 1.4 billion US dollars: “There are trade and wine houses belonging to Azerbaijan in various regions of China. Chinese companies have a wide representation in our country. As of May 1 of this year, about 320 Chinese companies operate in our country. In particular, green energy, transportation, and agriculture sectors are of great importance to us.”
“We can form joint projects by creating synergy between our solar and wind energy potential and China's experience in the field of new technologies,” E. Aliyev added.
