In the first half of 2024, 840 new jobs were created in Azerbaijan's districts liberated from occupation, according to the calculations made by APA-Economics based on the report of the State Statistics Committee.
This indicator's volume increased by 42% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. In the first half of 2023, 593 new jobs were created in Azerbaijan's districts liberated from occupation.
Note that in January-June 2024, the most new jobs were created in Lachin and Shusha. During the reporting period, 299 new jobs were created in Lachin and 232 in Shusha.
Recall that during the reporting period, in the liberated districts, 159 new enterprises and organizations, as well as 1,726 new individual entrepreneurship entities were registered in the government. Compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, the number of newly established enterprises and organizations increased by 90, while the number of individual entrepreneurs increased by 488.
