During the 29th General Assembly of the Intra-European Organisation of Tax Administrations (IOTA) held in Baku, Orkhan Nazarli, head of Azerbaijan’s State Tax Service, held a bilateral meeting with Marcin Loboda, head of Poland’s National Revenue Administration, APA reports citing the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The meeting focused on strengthening institutional capacity in tax administration, implementing digitalization strategies, and integrating innovative technologies. Both sides emphasized the importance of flexible approaches and data-driven decisions in tax management.
Nazarli highlighted steps taken towards agile management principles in tax authorities, sharing practical experience in operational and adaptive management. He noted ongoing reforms aimed at increasing transparency and efficiency in the tax system.
Loboda outlined Poland’s efforts to modernize its tax administration, including centralized databases and automated control mechanisms. He stressed the importance of expanding experience exchange and expert-level cooperation between the tax administrations of the two countries.
