"Under the leadership of the heads of state of Azerbaijan and Türkiye, our countries have implemented many important projects, and the cooperation is expanding," Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Türkiye Alparslan Bayraktar said on June 4 as he was received by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, APA reports.
Particularly touching upon the energy field, he emphasized the importance of partnership between Turkish Petroleum (TPAO), BOTAŞ, and SOCAR for both Türkiye's domestic market and the development of its industry.
The guest said that SOCAR is a prominent investor in Türkiye and noted with satisfaction the activities of the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the country. He pointed out Azerbaijan's role in Europe's energy security.
