The global energy sector is currently in the process of forming a new identity amid a sharp increase in electricity demand, said Igor Sechin, CEO of Rosneft, Russia’s major oil and gas company, APA-Economics reports, citing TASS.
“The current state of global energy is in the process of taking on a new face, driven by a multiple increase in demand for electricity. The generation of this energy will be ensured through both fossil fuels and renewable sources,” Sechin noted.
According to him, those who are able to actively participate in shaping this new energy landscape will gain an advantage in terms of economic and technological advancement.
