In January-March of this year, 2.7 mln tons of oil was processed in Azerbaijan, which is 8% more than in the same period last year, the Ministry of Energy told APA.
Recall that last year, in the months of January to May, 2.5 million tons of oil were processed in Azerbaijan. About 6.5 million tons of oil were processed in the country last year, which is 4.84% more than the previous year.
Note that oil in Azerbaijan is processed at Baku Oil Refinery, named after Heydar Aliyev and founded in 1953. The plant fully meets the republic's demand for oil products. Currently, reconstruction and modernization works are being carried out at the refinery.
