In January-August of this year, 4.4 mln tons of oil was processed in Azerbaijan, which indicates a 4.8 % decrease year on year, the Ministry of Energy told APA.
During the corresponding period last year, 4.2 million tons of oil were processed in the country.
Recall that last year, about 6.5 million tons of oil were processed in the country, which is 4.84% more in annual comparison.
Note that oil in Azerbaijan is processed at Baku Oil Refinery, named after Heydar Aliyev and founded in 1953. The plant fully meets the republic's demand for oil products. Currently, reconstruction and modernization works are being carried out at the refinery.
