The daily oil production at the "Kashagan" field, located in Kazakhstan's sector of the Caspian Sea, could reach 1 million barrels, said Kuanysh Keskinbayev, Deputy General Director for Commercial Affairs of KMQ Kashagan, while delivering speech at the "Caspian and Central Asia Oil Trading and Logistics Forum" organized by GLENMAR Group, APA-Economics reports.
"Today, we produce 400-420 thousand barrels daily. We can increase this volume to 1 million barrels per day," Kuanysh Keskinbayev noted.
He added that Kazakhstan produces about 90 million tons of oil annually, of which approximately 70 million tons are exported.
