In January-July of the current year, oil refining in the country amounted to 3.7 million tons, which is equal to the indicator of the corresponding period of last year, APA-Economics reports citing the Ministry of Energy.
Last year, approximately 6.5 million tons of oil were refined in Azerbaijan, which is 4.84% more in annual comparison.
Note that oil in Azerbaijan is refined at the Heydar Aliyev Baku Oil Refinery, which was established in 1953. The refinery fully meets the country's demand for oil products. Currently, reconstruction and modernization work is being carried out at the refinery.
