Green Energy Project with Azerbaijan holds strategic importance for the EU, said Georgia’s Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Vakhtang Tsintsadze, during his speech at the Baku Energy Forum, APA-Economics reports.
The Deputy Minister described the green energy project carried out between Azerbaijan, Georgia, Romania, and Hungary as “very ambitious and strategically important” in his speech. According to him, the project envisages the transmission of 4,000 MW of green electricity to the EU and will play a significant role in the region’s energy security.
“This project, implemented jointly with Azerbaijan, will serve as a new bridge for clean and renewable energy flow to the European Union. It is not only about transit; it marks a new phase in energy export and is beneficial for all parties involved,” the Deputy Minister emphasized.
He highlighted that this cooperation will deepen the energy integration of regional countries with the EU, enhance economic competitiveness, and create new jobs: “Ultimately, this project is not just about energy transmission but also an economic development initiative.
