Gary Jones: We are trying to maximize high-quality oil production at ACG

BP intends to raise its annual investments in the traditional oil and gas sector to $10 billion by 2027, said Gary Jones, BP’s Regional President for Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Türkiye, during his speech at the Baku Energy Forum, APA-Economics reports.

He noted that the goal is to increase daily production to between 2.3 and 2.5 million barrels. At the same time, BP is taking concrete steps to reduce emissions.

“We are working to maximize high-quality oil production at the ACG (Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli) field. Simultaneously, we are eliminating routine gas flaring, measuring methane emissions, and striving to minimize environmental impact,” he emphasized.
