EIA updates its forecast for global oil demand for 2024-2025

The Energy Information Administration (EIA) under the US Department of Energy has unveiled its forecast for the daily global demand for liquid hydrocarbons for 2024-2025, APA-Economics reports citing the monthly report of EIA.

According to the information, this year, the global average daily demand for liquid hydrocarbons will be 102.91 million barrels, which is 0.07 million barrels less than the previous forecast.

In addition, the EIA forecasts the global daily oil demand next year to be at the level of 104.68 barrels (previous forecast – 104.51 barrels).

It was noted that the global daily demand for liquid hydrocarbons in 2023 averaged 101.8 million barrels.

It should be recalled that in 2022, the global daily demand for liquid hydrocarbons was an average of 99.15 million barrels. In 2021, this indicator was 97.56 million barrels, in 2020 - 91.81 million barrels, and in 2019, this indicator was at the level of USD 101.23.
