"In the current dynamic and highly volatile global oil market, the logistical solutions offered by our region — the Caspian and Central Asia — play a key role," said Taghi Taghizade, Director of Commercial Affairs at SOCAR Trading (the trading arm of SOCAR), during the "Caspian and Central Asia Oil Trading and Logistics Forum" organized by GLENMAR Group, APA reports.
According to him, due to various factors, oil prices on global markets continue to fluctuate within the same range, contributing to market stress and volatility.
“For our sector, one of the most critical factors remains production indicators and refining margins. We’re now seeing refining margins fall from their record highs of recent years and return to levels more characteristic of 2019–2021, though they remain relatively supportive,” he said.
