Azerbaijan has been investing in oil and gas sector for years, connecting regions, and implementing major interregional connectivity projects, Deputy Minister of Energy of Azerbaijan Orkhan Zeynalov said while speaking at the 30th Anniversary Baku Energy Forum held in Baku, APA-Economics reports.
"In recent years, we have also been investing in the transition to green energy. Currently, we are launching four interconnector projects connecting Central Asia, the Caspian region, and the Black Sea region to Europe," the Deputy Minister noted.
According to him, the Caspian-Black Sea-Europe corridor is among these corridors, and the feasibility study for this project is currently in the final stage.
The Deputy Minister added that Azerbaijan plans to use more than six gigawatts of green energy by 2035 and export four gigawatts of it.
