Within the framework of Baku Energy Week, documents have been signed for the implementation of three solar energy projects with a total capacity of 200 MW, as well as cooperation between the Ministry of Energy and Maire Tecnimont S.p.A. in the field of “green energy,” APA-Economics reports.
“Land Lease Agreement” was signed between the Ministry of Energy and “Universal Solar Azerbaijan” LLC for the “Gobustan” Solar Power Plant (SPP) project with a capacity of 100 MW, implemented for the first time in our country based on the international auction mechanism held in the field of renewable energy. The document was signed by Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov and the company’s director, Tao Zhicheng. The “Power Purchase Agreement” and the “Grid Connection Agreement” for the project were signed on behalf of “Azerenerji” JSC by the Chairman of the Board, Baba Rzayev, and on behalf of the company by director Tao Zhicheng.
As part of initiatives aimed at transforming the liberated territories into a “green energy zone,” contracts have also been signed for two planned solar power plants in the Jabrayil district. The “Land Lease Agreements” for the 50 MW “Ufug” SPP and the 50 MW “Shams” SPP projects were signed by Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov, director Eldar Mammadzade of “Enerso Jabrayil” LLC, and director Khayala Nagiyeva of “Clean Energy Jabrayil” LLC. “Power Purchase Agreements” and “Grid Connection Agreements” for both projects have also been signed.
Balance agreements have also been signed with “Norm” JSC regarding the solar power plants to be constructed in Jabrayil.
In addition, a Protocol on amendments to extend the term of the “Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Energy Transition” between the Ministry of Energy and Maire Tecnimont S.p.A. was signed.
