In the first half of this year, approximately USD 70.5 million were spent on operating expenses for the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline (BTC), and USD 17.7 million were spent on capital expenses, APA-Economics reports citing bp's report dedicated to the results of the first half of the current year on the activities of the bp company in Azerbaijan.
Thus, in the first half of the current year, the total cost of BTC was USD 88.2 million.
"From the commissioning of the 1768 km long BTC pipeline in June 2006 to the end of June 2024, a total of approximately 576 million tons (more than 4.3 billion barrels) of crude oil was transported through this pipeline and was loaded onto 5707 tankers in Ceyhan and sent to world markets," the report states.
