BP intends to consider the development of gas reserves in the "Karabakh" field, said Colin Allan, BP’s Vice President for Finance in the Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Türkiye (AGT) region, during the 30th Anniversary “Baku Energy Forum” held in Baku, APA-Economics reports.
According to him, in addition to oil production from the field, the company plans to consider opportunities for developing the gas reserves discovered there in the future.
“This week, we announced the completion of the procedure to join the 'Karabakh' project. While we primarily focus on the oil reserves of the field, gas reserves have also been discovered there, and we will consider how to develop them in the future,” Colin Allan said.
