# 31 May 2024 18:58 (UTC +04:00)

From June 4 to 6, the 21st Caspian International Transport, Transit, and Logistics Exhibition - Translogistica Caspian, an event of significant importance for the region, will be held in Azerbaijan. The exhibition, coinciding with Baku Energy Week, will take place at the Baku Expo Center, APA reports.

The “TransLogistica Caspian” exhibition is supported by the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan, State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan, The Small and Medium Business (SMB) Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Export and Investment Promotion Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan – AZPROMO, the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ASK), Permanent Secretariat of The Intergovernmental Commission TRACECA, and Azerbaijan Exhibition Organisers Association (ASTA). The exhibition’s gold sponsor is the company “Railgo.”

Azerbaijan, located at the strategic intersection of Europe and Asia, plays a significant role as a transportation hub. For centuries, the country has served as a bridge connecting many important transportation and logistics routes. The traditional “Translogistica Caspian” exhibition has been highlighting the main directions of the transport and logistics sector for many years, once again emphasizing the country's crucial role as a transport hub.

The three-day exhibition will feature companies from Azerbaijan, France, Germany, Kazakhstan, Latvia, the Russian Federation, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, and the United States. Interest in the exhibition, which was successfully organized in 2023, has increased, and as a result, this year’s participants also include companies representing countries such as Germany, Latvia, and the United States.

The “TransLogistica Caspian” exhibition is an efficient platform that brings together many areas of the transportation sector. Traditionally, this year’s event will also discuss key areas of the transportation sector such as aviation, railway infrastructure, maritime industry, commercial transport, and transport-logistics services. Additionally, the exhibition will cover several new directions. Topics such as the optimization of logistics processes, the development of software for medium and large businesses, the implementation of IT solutions, and the development of software for the automation of supply chain management processes will undoubtedly lead to new and beneficial discussions.

One of the noteworthy aspects of the event is the participation of both commercial companies and government structures. The exhibition provides numerous unique opportunities, such as meeting with leaders and specialists representing the state transport structures of both Azerbaijan and regional countries, showcasing the latest examples of transport technologies, learning about prospective state infrastructure projects, establishing new collaborations, discovering new companies, accessing potential clients, and more.

A useful business program will be organized within the framework of the exhibition, including “B2B” and “B2G” meetings with the participation of local and foreign companies, various thematic events, and discussions. During the event, panel discussions will be held on topics such as “Digital customs support mechanisms for fast and secure logistics”, “Paving the Way Forward: The Future with Eco-Cars and the Increasing Popularity of Electric Vehicles in Azerbaijan”, “Radiation safety during the transport of radioactive materials”, “Middle Corridor: prospects and challenges” and others.

Several key aspects defining Azerbaijan’s role as a transport hub further emphasize the relevance of this exhibition. Azerbaijan, located at the intersection of the Caucasus Mountains and the Caspian Sea, has become an important centre for transport routes between Europe and Asia. Additionally, as a key part of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, Azerbaijan facilitates the transport of goods between China and Europe via the Caspian Sea. The country is developing its railway infrastructure, including roads connecting it with neighboring countries, ensuring efficient cargo transit. Azerbaijan has developed ports on the Caspian Sea, enabling it to serve maritime routes and ensure transit between regions. Furthermore, the country actively invests in the development of transport infrastructure projects, such as the construction of new roads, expansion of ports, and improvement of the railway system. Most importantly, as an oil and gas country, Azerbaijan has developed infrastructure for energy transit due to its energy resources. In this regard, the parallel organization of the TransLogistica Caspian exhibition with the 29th International Caspian Oil & Gas Exhibition - Caspian Oil & Gas, the 12th Caspian International Power and Green Energy Exhibition - Caspian Power, and the 29th Baku Energy Forum as part of Baku Energy Week opens up extensive prospects and potential cooperation opportunities for participating companies.

The event is organized by “Caspian Event Organisers” and its international partners “ICA Events” and “CEM FZ LLC.” Official partners include “AzExpoMontage” LLC, “Caspian Freight Services,” “Ateshgah” Insurance, “Hyatt Regency Baku,” “Ibis Baku City,” “Radisson Hotel Baku,” “Lilac,” and “Greenwich Travel Club.”
