An educational event was held by the Ministry of Emergency Situations in accordance with the Action Plan of the 29th Session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change – COP29, which will be held in Baku, APA reports citing Ministry.
Relevant officials of the Ministry and cadets of the Academy of Ministry of Emergency Situations took part in the event.
At the event, Akbar Guliyev, Deputy Head of the State Agency for Nuclear and Radiological Activity Regulation of the MES, made a broad presentation on "UN Climate Change Conference".
During the presentation, as A. Guliyev gave extensive information about the causes of climate change and the efforts of the Republic of Azerbaijan to minimize it, he spoke in detail about the work done by the Agency in the field of nuclear and radiation safety in connection with the COP29 to be held in Baku.
At the end of the event, the questions that interested the participants were answered.
