In the territoriesliberated of the Republic of Azerbaijan, SOCAR plans the phased reconstruction of the gas transportation system, which primarily involves the construction of main gas pipelines in 4 directions, APA-Economics reports citing the annual report of the Ministry of Energy.
The first direction is the Lachin direction, which includes the construction of the "Horadiz-Lachin" gas pipeline, as well as the installation of gas distribution stations (GDS) on the pipeline and the construction of the "Jabrayil GDS," "Zangilan GDS," "Minjivan GDS," "Gubadli GDS," and "Lachin GDS" gas pipeline branches.
It is noted that last year, the construction of the main Horadiz-Lachin gas pipeline (the main pipeline with the Lachin GDS branch gas pipeline) was completed, and the pipeline section was commissioned.
"The construction of the gas pipeline branches for the Jabrayil, Zangilan, Minjivan, Gubadli, Lachin gas distribution stations has been completed. Construction work has begun at Lachin GDS, Jabrayil GDS, Minjivan GDS, and Zangilan GDS, and preparatory work is being carried out for the construction of Gubadli GDS," the reports notes.
The second direction – the Shusha direction – includes the construction of the "Boyuk Bahmanli-Shusha" main gas pipeline, the "Fuzuli" and "Aghoghlan (Hadrut)" gas pipeline branches from that pipeline, as well as the construction of the "Shusha," "Füzuli," and "Aghoghlan" gas distribution stations (GDS) to be installed on the pipeline and branches.
According to the document, the construction of the "Boyuk Bahmanli-Shusha" main gas pipeline (with the Shusha GDS branch gas pipeline) has been completed, and the pipeline section has already been put into operation.
"The construction of the "Füzuli" branch gas pipeline has been completed, and Füzuli city has been supplied with gas. The construction of the "Aghoghlan" branch gas pipeline has been completed and connected to the existing system. The construction of Füzuli, Shusha, and Aghoghlan (Hadrut) GDS stations has begun," the report states.
The third direction – the Aghdam direction – covers the construction of the "Azadqaraqoyunlu-Aghdam" gas pipeline and the "Aghdam GDS" gas pipeline branch with a GDS installed. The construction of the "Azadqaraqoyunlu-Aghdam" main gas pipeline has been completed, and the pipeline section has been commissioned. The construction of Aghdam GDS has begun.
The fourth direction – the Kalbajar direction – involves the construction of the "Aghdam-Kalbajar" gas pipeline and the "Kalbajar GDS" gas pipeline branch with a QPS installed.
As noted, the construction of the "Aghdam-Kalbajar" main gas pipeline has already been completed. The construction of the "Aghdam-Esgeran" main gas pipeline has been completed.
"The construction of Kalbajar GDS has begun. The "Kalbajar-Istisu" gas pipeline has been laid with a gas measuring station (QTM) installed, and the construction of the Istisu QTM has started," the report emphasizes.
