Construction of 6 more small hydroelectric power plants (HPPs) will begin soon in the liberated territories, said Vugar Aliyev, adviser to the chairman of "Azerenerji" JSC, during the meeting of the "Working Group on Energy Supply Issues" held today in the city of Khankendi, APA-Economics reports.
According to him, 34 SHPPs with a capacity of 276.6 MW are currently in operation in the liberated territories, and with the completion of new projects, their number will reach 38 and the capacity will be increased to 307 MW.
Vugar Aliyev also noted that the efficiency of SHPPs ranges from a maximum of 60% to a minimum of 30%.
