From January to June of 2024, Azerbaijan exported aluminum and aluminum products worth $100,320.81 thousand, totaling 37,742.75 tons, the State Customs Committee told APA-Economics.
According to the Committee, the value of aluminum and aluminum products exported during the reporting period decreased by 6.2% compared to the same period in 2023, while the volume decreased by 5.6%.
During the reporting period, aluminum's share in the total non-oil sector exports was 6.29%.
Recall that last year Azerbaijan exported aluminum and aluminum products worth $195,181.68 thousand, totaling 74,502.4 tons. The value of aluminum and aluminum products exported during that period decreased by 10.3% compared to 2022, while the volume increased by 9.14%. Last year, aluminum's share in the total non-oil sector exports was 5.83%.
