"Azerbaijan plans to double gas supply to Europe by 2027," said Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov at his meeting with UK’s Parliamentary Under Secretary of State, Minister for Exports Lord Malcolm Offord, APA reports.
The high level of cooperation in the field of energy between the two countries was appreciated, and the importance of a long-term efficient and mutually trust-based partnership with the BP company was especially emphasized in this regard.
Energy security projects such as the Southern Gas Corridor have been evaluated as examples of successful energy cooperation.
Information was provided on Azerbaijan's plans to double its gas supply to Europe by 2027.
They expressed hope that cooperation with BP in this direction will continue.
