In January-June of this year, Azerbaijan’s revenues from cargo transportation by main gas pipelines amounted to AZN 1,359,813 thousand, which is an increase of 7.8% in annual comparison, the State Statistics Committee told APA-Economics.
According to the information, the mentioned indicator was at the level of AZN 1,261,251.7 thousand in the corresponding period of last year.
It should be noted that 20,540.7 million cubic meters of gas were transported through main gas pipelines in Azerbaijan in January-June this year, and a 1.3% increase was observed compared to the indicator of the previous year. 55.6% of gas transportation was carried out through the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum South Caucasus pipeline. Thus, during the reporting period, 11,418.9 million cubic meters of gas were transported through this pipeline (an increase of 2.6%).
It should be recalled that last year Azerbaijan's revenues from gas transportation by main gas pipelines amounted to AZN 2,516,082.5 thousand, which means an increase of 8.1% in annual comparison. Last year, 39,283.3 million cubic meters of gas were transported through main gas pipelines in Azerbaijan, and an increase of 0.1% was observed compared to the indicator of the previous year. Most of the gas transportation was carried out through the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum South Caucasus pipeline. During the reporting period, 21,800.1 million cubic meters of gas were transported through this pipeline (a 4.8% increase compared to the indicator of 2022).
