In January-June, 2024, nearly 3,2 million tons of oil were refined in Azerbaijan, which is 3,23% more in yearly comparison, APA-Economics reports citing the Ministry of Energy.
Recall that in January-May, 2023, 3,1 million tons of oil were refined in Azerbaijan.
Last year, nearly 6,5 million tons of oil were refined in Azerbaijan, which is 4,84% more in yearly comparison.
Note that oil in Azerbaijan is refined at the Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery, which was founded in 1953. The plant fully meets the Republic's demand for oil products. Currently, reconstruction and modernization works are being carried out at the Oil Refinery.
