Azerbaijan doubles production of electricity from renewable sources

According to operational data in January-August of this year, 19,235.4 million kWh of electricity was produced in Azerbaijan, Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov posted in this regard on its X account, APA reports.

During the reporting period, the export of electricity across the country was 858.9 million kWh, and the import was 125.5 million kWh.

"Compared to the corresponding period of last year, 2771.8 million kWh of electricity was produced from renewable energy sources, including water, with an increase of more than double. Thus, in this period, the share of green energy in the production of electricity was 14%," the post reads.
