From September 1, 2024, the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) started supplying gas to Croatia, SOCAR told APA-Economics.
As a result of the successful cooperation between the governments of Azerbaijan and Croatia, the delivery of Azerbaijani gas to Croatia on the eve of the winter season through the PPD company and MET Group further strengthens the role of Azerbaijan as a reliable energy partner and gas supplier of Europe.
This event, which is an important step towards expanding energy cooperation between Azerbaijan and Croatia, serves to strengthen the continent's energy security by demonstrating SOCAR's commitment to diversifying energy sources for European domestic markets.
Thus, along with Türkiye, Georgia, Italy, Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Serbia and Slovenia, Croatia became the tenth country to receive Azerbaijani gas.
