The Azerbaijan Standardization Institute (AZSTAND), operating under the State Service for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, has approved the national standard AZS ISO 50003:2025 “Energy management systems – Requirements for bodies conducting audit and certification of energy management systems,” AZSTAND told APA-Economics.
The standard regulates the audit processes of energy management systems, enabling enterprises to use energy resources more efficiently. It also sets requirements for the competence, consistency, and impartiality of bodies that conduct the audit and certification of Energy Management Systems (EMS).
It was noted that the new national standard was discussed in the Technical Committee for Standardization in the field of "Electric Power and Renewable Energy" (AZSTAND/TK 46) and was adopted by the Institute and included in the State Fund of Normative Documents on Standardization.
